Hearing Aid Fittings in Solon

A hearing aid fitting involves several important steps to ensure optimal hearing and comfort. During the appointment, the audiologist will use real ear measurements to precisely program the hearing aids to match your specific hearing loss. You'll receive hands-on instruction on how to care for and use the devices, including cleaning, battery or charging maintenance, and proper storage. You'll also practice inserting and removing the hearing aids to become comfortable with daily use. The audiologist will help adjust the settings based on your personal preferences and lifestyle needs. Finally, the aids will be paired with your cell phone, allowing for features like streaming calls and audio directly to your devices, and enabling remote adjustments via an app if supported.

As an independent hearing healthcare practice, we are under no obligation to any particular hearing aid manufacturer. This means that we can recommend the best hearing aids for your loss and lifestyle needs without worrying about an underlying contract agreement. We carry Oticon, Phonak, ReSound, Signia, Starkey, Unitron and Widex hearing aids.

Real Ear Measurements

To perform Real Ear measurements, a thin probe microphone is inserted into the ear canal. Measurements are taken both with and without the hearing aids in place, which allows us to objectively measure and verify the sound that is being delivered to the eardrum. This leads to more accurate hearing aid fittings.
